Chaos Cup 2016 is coming up fast!  I'm going to continue with a tradition that began last year.

Chaos Cup 2015 - Are You Ready?

Chaos Cup 2015 is just days away?  According to Tournament Organizer, Rowdykatie, there are 69 players pre-registered for Chaos Cup 2015.  If no one showed up at the door (highly unlikely) this would be the 4th largest CC in history.  There isn't any history of this event that the website doesn't cover (Huge props to Jonny P).

I can't write anything here that could excite the BB masses anymore.  But I'm pretty jazzed about the pre-reg swag.  Here is all the cool stuff they get.  Also there is an extensive list of awards players could win.

–Best Comeback – Highest increase in standings after Round 2

–Farthest Traveled Overall – Given to coach who traveled the furthest

–Farthest Traveled US Coach – Given to coach who traveled the furthest within the US

–Stunty Cup – Winner of the round 6 Stunty Cup match

–Halfling, Goblin, Ogre, Lizardmen with no Saurus, Underworld with no Skaven

–No star players are allowed for the above mentioned Lizardmen and Underworld teams

–Best Sportsman ‐ Best Sportsman as voted on by your peers

Rumors floating around the inter-webs are that there will be a greater than normal number of stunty entrants.  This years theme race is the Chaos Dwarfs and they should be well represented too.  I posed the question on Twitter of who the winning race will be... and I got a very, very limited response.  So who do you think will take it?

KUBBL 5: Playoff Round 1

This week there is no Game of the Week...  It's the playoffs, there all important!  Let's just get to our playoff betting!

The GrymmLurke Lads travel into the heart of darkness to try their hand at defeating the regular season champion the Khorne Red Backs.  The Red Backs will impose their power and underrated offensive abilities to satiate their bloody lord's lust leading to a multi-touchdown victory.

The slann of the Lethal Leap will be hosting The Cantina Killers in our second playoff game.  The only way the Leap can take this one is to score in bunches.  If The Killers can keep the Leap to 2 touchdowns or less they should be able to take this one.

Game of the Week and Betting - Week 7

Here it is!  We have come to the end of another season!  Each team has played 6 games... (record screech)...

Yes this really is supposed to be the end of the season, but only three of the eight teams will be playing their final game today.

In this week's Game of the Week, the Khorne Red Backs will play a very "Chaotic" match with The Cantina Killers.  The season three R'Backs are built for all aspects of the game and their excess of claw takes away the greatest strength of the Chaos Dwarves.  If the Chaos are able to get the early man advantage it could be a blowout.  However, the stud bull centaur, Boba Fett, has the ability to runaway from most anyone and they can over-power those who can run with them.

The Red Backs will look to be the KUBBL's next undefeated regular season team if they can get a win in both of their games today.

Game of the Week and Betting - Week 6

Week 6, we're almost finished with the regular season!  The Game of the Week pits the Swamp Dwellers against the Khorne Red Backs.  The R'Backs are only percentage points behind the Leap for the league lead with one less game played than the frogs.  The Dwellers are the top finisher that returned to the KUBBL from season 4.  The rats are coming off a tie from their last game and want nothing more than to get back on the winning track.  That will be a tall order as the R'Backs have gone 6 games since losing.  The only non-win during this streak was a week one tie.

The GotW for week 5 see the Robots of Doomsville welcome in The GrymmLurke Lads.  The 'Bots haven't played since week 2 and will be looking for their first win.  The Lads are also in search of their first win of this season.  Their most recent game was a 2-2 tie so they should be coming in with growing confidence.  Doomsville will have quite a bit of money to spend on inducements to level the team value playing field.

The GotW is a battle of the "The's" between The GrymmLurke Lads and The Cantina Killers.  Each of these teams tasted defeat in their first round matches but know the thrill of victory and are seeking it in this week 3 match-up.  The Killers look to continue riding star Bull Centaur, Boba Fett, toward the end zone while the Lads will turn to their well developed Blitzer squad in hopes of stopping the bounty hunter.

Game of the Week and Betting for Week 1

Week 1

The "Game of the Week" for week 1 will be between the top two finishers from KUBBL 4.  The GrymmLurke Lads will take on the Swamp Dwellers in this match-up of returning powers.

The Dwellers will rely heavily on the scoring prowess of two, yes two, one turn score pieces.  They are also effective on defense getting to so many areas.  The Lads will need their core of blitzers, including two blitzers with the ability to help out their fellow dark elves no matter who is around, to step-up to the occasion.
